Investing Conference for Beginning Investors – AAII
Posted on | October 29, 2009 | No Comments
Part of this blog’s mission is to help beginning investors gather the essential information so that you can make informed investment decisions on your own. I am a member of the American Association of Individual Investors (AAII). It is an easy organization to join and even for an investor with limited resources, not expensive. They send out a wicked package that lay’s out some of the basics of investing. It is the kind of organization I like: Cheap and geared toward persons investing part time or still developing a beginning investment strategy.
I wanted to highlight an Value Investor Conference the AAII is holding next month in Orlando, FL. As with last week’s Value Investing Congress, I will not be able to attend because of my day job. In contrast to the Value Investing Congress which is slanted toward more experienced investors who are interested in the Value Investing tradition, the American Association of Individual Investors is more generalist. In looking at their promotional material it should benefit beginning Investors. It looks like a good general investing conference. Most importantly for the small time investor it only costs $324 for non-members and $295 for members. If you are in striking distance you could go without a huge outlay. If any of me readers attend please drop me a note and let me know how it went.
