Value Investing Congress 2009 – What we missed
Posted on | October 26, 2009 | No Comments
Value Investing Congress is a geek fest for investors who want to attend value investors like me. I have not been able to attend this value investing conference because my paying gig won’t give me time off during the periods they offer this two day Value Investing series in October and May. Last week the fall version took place in New York. I won’t give you the summaries myself. Go to the source directly.
Value Investing Congress had a blog which had summaries of all the speakers for David Nierenberg, Founder, D3 Family Funds, Sean Dobson, CEO, Amherst Securities Day One, David Einhorn, Chairman, Greenlight Capital and Day One Part Two, Julian Robertson, Founder, Tiger Management and Lloyd Khaner, Khaner Capital Day One Part Three,Candace King Weir and Amanda Weir, Paradigm Capital and Paul Isaac, CIO Cadogan Management Day One Part Four and Jason Stock and William Waller, M3 Funds Kian Ghazi, Hawkshaw Capital and Eric Sprott Sprott Asset Management on Day Two . Alexander Roepers, Portfolio Manager, Atlantic Investment Management and Whitney Tilson and Glenn Tongue, T2 Partners, Zeke Ashton, Centaur Capital Partners, Bill Ackman, Pershing Square in Part Two.
The various speakers represent different methods of valuation and investing philosophy from passive to activist. Please spend some time reading about this event. Perhaps I will attend in May for the Value Investing Congress in Pasadena, not to far from home.
