Does the world really need another value investing blog?

Probably not. But here I am anyway.

In my hubris I figured my approach was a little different than most investing bloggers and perhaps a little more accessible. I am not a full time financial analyst, nor do I have a financial degree.  I am not really interested in Quant type analysis. I use spreadsheets when they are useful and ignore them when they get in the way.   I am not religious about an investing style, but I am a fanatic about wine. I invest for myself because it is enjoyable to me , but more importantly I want to  make money.

Chroma Investing is really for part time investors like me, who are interested in exploring the different colors of the investment palate. I believe that different strategies will work in different times and in different environments.   I didn’t start with a lot of money. You can build a small portfolio as you go.

This is not some lazy man’s way to riches. Investing on your own requires some work. But it is something you can do on a weekends or at night.

I am a Producer of television shows, a business not known for its intellectual contribution to society.  So given last years proof of the stupidity of the efficient market theory, I figure I should fit right in.   I invest part time.  Mostly, I do my research on weekends.

Why should you listen to me? You shouldn’t. You shouldn’t make any investment decision without doing your own research and understanding why you are investing in something whether it is a penny stock or a million dollar house. Only a bonehead would blindly follow someone else’s advice without checking it out themselves. If you blindly take advice from the internet you are going to lose a lot of money.

Hopefully, you will enjoy the process of investing as much as I do. Discovering a good investment is like finding a good wine. You want to share it with others. Perhaps you will share your good ideas with me as well.
